Our History
Silversmithing is one of the oldest and most noble arts, with roots in Greece that stretch back through the ages, shaping a cultural heritage filled with light, metal, and dedication. Following in the footsteps of this time-honored tradition, the Ixos Silver Workshop was born as the natural evolution of Fani’s deep love, passion, and artistic quest for authentic, handmade jewelry.
Fani’s journey began with her need to give tangible form to her artistic concerns. After years of systematic study, specialization, and hands-on experience with traditional metalworking techniques, she decided to establish her own independent silversmithing workshop. For her, the workbench is not merely a space for production, but a sanctuary of creation—a living dialogue between the flame, 925 sterling silver, the hammered texture, and natural semi-precious stones.
Drawing inspiration from the simple, clean forms of Greek nature, the geometry of architecture, and the timeless aesthetic of ancient Greek jewelry, Fani designs and crafts each piece entirely by hand. The production process remains strictly personal: from the initial melting of the metal and rolling it through the roller, to engraving, flame brazing, and the final polishing, every stage is carried out with patience, passion, and meticulous attention to detail.
